# Tokens

Diner Clicker uses several resources. Check the currency icon and name before confirming a purchase or trade.

| Resource        | What you use it for                                                                                                 |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Coins           | Seeds, power-ups and other game purchases. You earn Coins by serving food.                                          |
| Stars           | Premium shop products, VIP and selected convenience actions or auctions.                                            |
| TIPS            | Trading game resources with other players in the Marketplace and other activities that show TIPS as their currency. |
| Season progress | Unlocking rewards on the active season's progress track.                                                            |
| XP              | Reaching new player levels.                                                                                         |
| Skill points    | Choosing and upgrading skills.                                                                                      |

TIPS in this guide means your current in-game balance. The planned crypto-asset is called $TIPS. Its future release and trading rules will be announced separately; your game balance does not by itself grant unrestricted wallet transfers or cash withdrawals.

Game prices and item reference values do not guarantee that you can redeem Coins, Stars or TIPS for a fixed amount of money.

### The January 2027 target

The goal is an official game launch in January 2027, with transferable and tradable $TIPS subject to the final rules and legal requirements. The Roadmap will announce any timing changes and the features available at launch.

Wallet transfers, deposits, withdrawals and token claims will each have their own instructions when available. The separate crypto-asset white paper and published terms will explain the final token design, rights, issuer, offer and risks. This player guide explains gameplay.
